Skip to contentRacing emotion isn’t just for big bikes—it starts here. The 2026 KTM 50 SX Factory Edition brings full READY TO RACE credentials to junior racers, featuring an advanced steel frame and a compact 2-stroke engine. It’s packed with elite components like Dunlop Geomax MX53 tires, an FMF exhaust system, a 35 mm WP XACT AER fork, WP XACT monoshock, and a hydraulic Formula brake system. All this comes along with factory-level visuals, standout quality, and ground-breaking height adjustability.
Engineered to grow with the rider, the Factory Edition includes adjustable suspension, handlebar position, subframe, and bodywork. This allows seat height to shift from 24.9 in (634 mm) up to 26.8 in (682 mm), making fitment ultra-easy.
Under the sleek exterior lives a compact, modern 2-stroke engine using a 3-shaft design. With the crankshaft strategically placed near the centre of gravity for optimal mass centralization and intake efficiency. The transmission shafts are wider and reinforced for added durability. Riders can also choose from two KTM PowerParts kits: one limits power to around 4 hp, and the other delivers about 8 hp. Ideal for beginners or intermediate-level riders. The centrifugal multi-disc clutch boosts confidence with smooth, adjustable performance. Durability is also enhanced with a high-strength pre-coat, increased torque fastenings, and a striking HINSON Racing CNC machined outer clutch cover. Ignition is handled by a digital system offering clean power delivery and full-range rpm timing, plus a stabilization cap to prevent throttle cable wear. The bike also features an iridium-type BRISK spark plug with a long thread, orange connector, and printed part number for quick identification.
The airbox features a durable polyamide suction sleeve and a Twin Air filter system with snap-lock mounting—accessible tool-free by removing the seat, which also helps reduce dirt intrusion. The frame architecture reflects KTM’s full-size models, with slimmer, more ergonomic side panels suited for standing and manoeuvring, plus protective front number plate flaps shielding the triple clamps from roost. The steering head benefits from a reinforced clamp design and easier maintenance. The chromium-molybdenum steel central frame features forged connectors, tuned flex and torsional rigidity, and a clean cradle layout that omits a top cross tube—offering lightweight strength.
This Factory Edition rolls on lightweight black-anodized aluminium rims with Dunlop Geomax MX53 tires for top-tier grip and straight-line tracking. At the front, a 35 mm USD WP XACT AER fork with 205 mm travel and an air-adjustable spring gives riders smooth control. The rear WP XACT monoshock matches the front perfectly, keeping the chassis balanced. Footpegs are “no-dirt” style—wide and debris-resistant. Braking is premium, with hydraulic Formula callipers and wave discs on both front and rear, delivering consistent and powerful stopping performance.
The Factory Edition features a full FMF exhaust system. Complete with a nickel-plated FMF Fatty pipe, Powercore 2 silencer, and a black anodized CNC-machined exhaust flange. Plus an upgraded flange gasket and re-engineered exhaust valve ventilation for enhanced durability. Cooling is also top-notch, with a one-piece Pankl radiator integrated into tank spoilers for efficient airflow. Not to mention a new threaded radiator cap for quick and easy access.
